I'm just starting small with this project for now and I am excited to see what you as my initial testers will say and make it the best I can for as many people as possible.
I had that “how did I ever live without this?” moment recently while trying Cart Buddy in my local grocery store. Setting up the store layout and entering prices for the items I regularly buy did take some time, but it was completely worth it. Now, I know I’ll use it all the time—and I plan to set it up for other stores I frequent soon.
I’ll admit, I don’t usually use many apps myself, so realizing I had created something I genuinely wanted to use was both surprising and incredibly satisfying. It even made me laugh—just the other week, before testing the app, I realized we had run out of toilet paper after a long day with my daughter. Luckily, I keep a spare roll, but I knew the next trip to the store would have been for nothing but TP. Now, with this little app, I won’t be forgetting anything important again!
Cart Buddy has grown far beyond its original design as a simple Figma project for a product scanner. One idea led to another, and it evolved into a functional tool I can actually use. Even if I’m the only one who ever uses it, it’s already been completely worth my time. That said, I hope you enjoy it too—and I’d love your feedback on how it could be even better.
